Yesterday was a huge day for getting things accomplished! My friends have taught me instead of asking “How are you doing?” because this can always be brushed off with a “fine”. We ask “what’s your number? 1-10” like, “rate you day”. Yesterday was a 10 for this task-oriented Virgo, maybe an 11.

So, the screwdrivers have been found, our Greek phones have been set up, cute outdoor chairs have been bought and a quote for a new AC unit has been received. It’s105 degrees today, the heatwave is rare I’m told but it’s only June, so we have decided to get a 2nd AC split installed. Apparently, we can get one installed and if we move to another apartment, we can take it with us. I had a glass of wine in the evening and just took a moment to appreciate how far we have come. We really like the location of our apartment, even with its quirks we are getting it to feel like a home. We have a bit of a routine now- evening walks with the dogs to the large park nearby, projects or shopping during the day and twice a week I have Greek class.
Now that things are falling into place- we have submitted the paperwork for my residential VISA and Jeff starts work on Monday, I’m hoping to get to the beach soon. Also, I have a Ladies Expat Meet-up on Saturday evening that I’m super excited about. The women seem really nice and I’m sure I can learn a lot from the ones that have been here a while. I will report back after the meetup and hopefully send pics from a beach day- which I have earned if I do say so myself. For now, just enjoy more food pics, my cute balcony chairs, Jeff’s office and my wine….
