First, let me introduce myself and the family. I’m 48, living in Tampa, FL, working a corporate job, married for almost 15 years, 2 pups. Jeff and I met playing coed adult soccer. I grew up in Ohio and Florida and Jeff was an Air Force kid, so he lived in Germany, Greece, Italy, and Tampa. Jeff’s mother was from Heraklion, Crete and most of his family currently lives there. We have always dreamed of retiring on Crete and after COVID and some health challenges, we decided there’s no time like the present. We started our plans to move around 3 years ago. In 2022 Jeff was able to get his citizenship and then we confirmed I could get a VISA to live in Greece.

Once we realized we could make this happen now, the planning started. How? When? Where will we work? How do we get a 15-year-old dog there the safest way? Will I ever learn to speak Greek? Only time will tell, stay tuned and follow along with our adventure through this Blog.
